- Infamous Second Son is a game that even the bitter critics cannot hate. It is an action adventure open world game exclusive to the PS4.
- Outlast is pretty good too. It was released in June 2014 and was built by the same programmers that made Prince of Persia and Assassins Creed.
- Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is frankly fantastic in every way and won the 2013 PlayStation award and the Able Gamers award this year. It is also available on the PC, which is pretty standard for a Final Fantasy game.
- Daylight, which was released in April 2014, which you may find has a predictable twist, is still scarier than a bed or rattlesnakes.
But, this is not a PlayStation 4 vs Xbox one article and there are a few good Xbox One games coming out, such as the new Gears of War game and Fable legends.

Deep Down looks very promising as a dungeon crawler where you can team up with your friends; it has a release date of fall 2015.
Bloodborne is due out in July, 2015, is only for the PS4, and looks like a great role-playing hack and slash game because it is begin developed by Hidetaka Miyazaki; the Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls director.
The Order 1886 is released February 20, 2015 and looks like a very promising action-adventure game about an alternative history of London where half-breed monsters need some limbs shooting off.
